Tech News Desk, New Delhi, 31 January 2026: In a landmark collaboration, Google and the International Cricket Council (ICC) have introduced Gemini 3 Pro as a real-time “cricket companion” that transforms how fans experience the sport.

Announced this week by Google CEO Sundar Pichai with the viral catchphrase, “Now Google can help with your Googly,” the AI uses multimodal reasoning to analyze live match footage and audio commentary simultaneously.

The technology goes beyond basic statistics; it can identify specific players, explain complex bowling techniques, and detect crucial “momentum shifts” based on crowd noise and game flow. During a demonstration using ICC Women’s World Cup footage, the AI successfully pinpointed Deepti Sharma’s bowling variations and provided technical breakdowns of her performance. This suite of features is set to roll out across Android, Pixel, and Google Pay ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup starting February 7, 2026.
